🧭 Our mission


Cognyx is on a mission to reinvent Hardware engineering for the AI era. We take inspiration from Software engineering — both established benchmarks like GitHub and cutting-edge developments in AI-assisted coding — to aim for a 10x improvement in engineering efficiency and reliability. In doing so, we hope to contribute meaningfully to the future of Manufacturing in the face of modern challenges - environmental, demographic, geopolitical, and technological - where virtually every object needs to be (re)designed to meet these new demands.

🔮 Our vision


In 2035, ≈ 25% of software spending of engineering-heavy companies will be dedicated to “Engineering Knowledge”. This new category of software will sit between the 2 heaviest business software categories (namely ERP and PLM) and will encompass capturing, connecting and leveraging knowledge of all operations. It will be the core space where AI can express its full potential, and will 10x the overall productivity of engineers through the value chain. Cognyx intends to capture this opportunity, starting with manufacturing’s #1 deliverable: the Bill Of Materials!

Our HQ in Paris


We’re located near Bastille, in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods of Paris! Our office offers some of the best working conditions in the Paris area, with amazing amenities (sports room, yoga room, rooftop, music room…). We share it with Blablacar, one of the eldest and most prestigious French ‘unicorns’, and with other AI startups.

WFH: why we’re big fans of “in-office”

Short-short: although we do offer some flexibility, we strongly favor in-office work. We value the energy of working together, especially in the critical early years of our company. We’re convinced that in-person collaboration sparks creativity and drives innovative outcomes. To enhance this connection, we encourage all employees to work mostly from our (world-class :) Paris offices, or even better, from our clients’ offices when necessary to accelerate feedback loops.
